Pair of vintage Japanese china Hexagon Peacock Plates with gold trim and brilliant colors.
Two hand-painted peacocks surrounded by flowers in burnt red, yellow, pink and red, all outlined in gold metalic paint. Even the leaves on the border are hand-painted in metallic.
Each of these Japanese china plates is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing or breaks. Some very slight wear to the gold trim along out the outside edge is noted, which is consistant with their age and use.
These lovely plates measure 7-1/2" in diameter, are 1-1/16" deep and weigh 13.5 ounces each. Marked on the backs JAPAN with the manufacturer's mark.
