Stunning antique PAIRPOINT SILVER Quadruple Silverplate Tea and Coffee Set, with stately footed coffee pot, tea pot, covered sugar bowl, creamer pitcher and waste bowl with lovely monogram on fronts.
The quadruple silverplate footed coffee pot (the tallest) measures 9.5" tall, 9.5" from tip of handle to tip of coffee spout, is approximately 4.5" x 5.5" in diameter and weighs 1 pound 10.2 ounces. This 10-panel antique silver coffee pot is in very good condition, with some silverplate wear noted along the edges where the panels meet, at the outside handle edge, a tiny bit on the lid panels where they meet, a tiny dot of a dimple on the outside of the handle, and another tiny dot of a dimple just above the monogram on the front. The remaining silverplate is without wear, loss or thinning. Bright and shiny antique silver finish. No unusual scratches to the silverplate finish. The inside is exceptionally clean, as is the lid, and the hinge is original and intact. Oval ball with ruffle and beading makes the unusual finial.
The matching quadruple silverplate footed tea pot / teapot (the smaller) measures 7.75" tall, 10.5" from the tip of the handle to the tip of the tea spout, is approximately 6" x 5" in diameter and weighs 1 pound 8.8 ounces. This 10-panel antique silver tea pot is in very good condition, with some silverplate wear noted along the edges where the panels meet, a tiny bit on the lid panels where they meet, at the outside handle edge and a tiny dot of a dimple on the outside of the handle. Monogrammed on the front only. A slight bit of silverplate wear is noted on the base edge. The remaining silverplate is without wear, loss or thinning. Bright and shiny antique silver finish. No unusual scratches to the silverplate finish. The inside is exceptionally clean, as is the lid, and the hinge is original and intact. The finial on the teapot lid is an oval ball with ruffle and beading.
The matching quadruple silverplate lidded and footed sugar bowl measures 7.5" between the handles, is approximately 5" x 4.5" in diameter, stands 6" tall and weighs 1 pound. Very slight silverplate wear is noted along the panel edges, along the outside edge of the handles and on both ends of the oval ball finial. The inside is exceptionally clean and shiny. The remaining silverplate is without wear, loss or thinning. Bright and shiny antique silver finish. No unusual scratches to the silverplate finish. Monogrammed on the front only.
The matching quadruple silverplate footed creamer pitcher measures 5.5" tall, 5.5" between the tip of the handle and the creamer pitcher lip, is approximately 4" x 3.5" in diameter and is lightly gold plated on the inside - which is exceptionally clean and shiny. This silver creamer pitcher weighs 11.6 ounces. This 10-panel antique silver creamer pitcher is in very good condition, with only slight silverplate wear noted along the panel edges, the edges of the handle and a tiny bit along the footed base. Monogrammed on the front only.
The matching quadruple silverplate footed waste bowl or spooner, is also made in the 10-panel design with a monogram on the front only, and measures 6" between the handles, stands 5.25" tall, is approximately 4" x 3" in diameter and weighs 12.7 ounces. As with the other pieces of this antique silver tea set, the edges show some silverplate wear, as do the handle edges, and a tiny area along the base. There is one area on the base that seems to be ever so slightly bent in, but it is difficult to locate. the silverplate is in very good condition, with no no scratches to the shiny silverplate finish, and the inside is exceptionally clean, shows evidence of gold plating and is very clean.
