Fine post-war English bone china footed and scalloped teacup (tea cup) and saucer set made by Tuscan China (R.H. & S.L. Plant Ltd) that produced fine china between 1898-1970 at the Tuscan Works, Longton, England. The company was later acquired by the Wedgwood group in the early 1970's.
The pattern name is unknown, but the stock number is D1288 and from the backstamp, we date this fine bone china teacup and saucer set from the period 1947.
The scalloped and footed teacup (tea cup) has gold metallic trim around the bowl, both sides of the handle and the foot and base. No chips, cracks or crazing noted. The footed teacup measures 2.75" high, 3.5" in diameter and measures 4.25" from tip of handle to edge of bowl.
The matching bone china saucer also has the scalloped edge with gold metallic trim and it measures 5.5" in diameter. Again, perfect condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
Both pieces are touchmarked on the bottoms with TUSCAN FINE ENGLISH BONE CHINA, crown and wing logo, MADE IN ENGLAND, and the pattern / stock number of D1288 in gold metallic.
