Antique silverplated pewter bud vase by WB MFG Co./Weidlich Bros. of Bridgeport, Connecticut (c. 1901 - 1950), this single stem flower vase features a hexagon shaped base and tapered hexagon neck. Simple and plain design, yet so traditional and elegant, spanning the decades. The pattern number is quite low, which leads us to believe that this bud vase falls more into the antique category.
We believe this vintage or antique pewter flower bud vase was at one time silverplated as a small ring of silverplating is still evident at the top of the base. It's difficult to discern if the entire bud vase was ever silver plated. (The first photo was taken with a flash, the second, no flash.) This is still a darling antique or vintage single stem flower bud vase, measuring nearly 8" tall, 2.25" diameter base and weighing 6.5 ounces. Some discoloration to the pewter is noted, but there are no dings or dents to note. Nice aged dark patina. Touchmarked on the bottom with WB MFG CO. and the pattern number 246.
