Massive vintage monumental 14" tall German beer stein or tankard by Atlantic Mold, featuring what could be interpreted as Adam with a Cherub or Putti on his shoulder, walking around the Garden of Eden holding a waking stick with dear, birds, a ram, a rabbit, a squirrel or beaver, a monkey and other animals in and under the Tree of Life. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or other damage to note.
This vintage German beer stein has a decorative handle, very high relief, all hand-painted and is just beautiful and will certainly make a statement amongst your fine antique or vintage beer stein collection. The colors used in this tankard stein were a deep rich red, deep rich variegated greens and variegated colors of brown - tan, all under glaze. An absolute delight to view!
This massive German beer stein tankard measures 14" tall, 6-1/2" in diameter at the base, 7" from the edge of the handle to the front body edge of the tankard stein, weighs 4 pounds 2 ounces and is marked on the base with ATLANTIC MOLD and a star. Most likely from the early 1970's.
