Vintage English bone china QUEEN ANNE Footed Tea Cup (teacup) and saucer set #8643 (Ashley pattern) featuring yellow flowers and green vines with leaves with a delicately scalloped edge to the saucer and hand-painted gold trim on the tea cup and saucer. (c. 1960's) Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or other damage to note.
Queen Anne cups and saucers are fine quality and were produced by Shore & Coggins, High Street and Edensor Works, Longton, Staffordshire Potteries England from 1911 to 1966. The backstamp used on this vintage tea cup & saucer set dates from between 1959 - 1966.
This vintage Queen Anne tea cup measures 2-7/8" tall, 3-3/8" in diameter at the rim with gold trim along the top edge, the foot and along the handle. The matching saucer has a gently scalloped edge with gold trim and measures 5-1/2" in diameter and is nearly 1" tall. Both the tea cup and saucer are backstamped with a crown logo, BONE CHINA, QUEEN ANNE in dark pink ink, and MADE IN ENGLAND. The tea cup has the pattern number 8643 together with the backstamp.
