Elegant WILLIAM ADAMS / TOWLE electroplated nickel silver (E.P.N.S.) 7-1/4" tall footed silverplated flower vase with clean lines and a "panel" design on the silverplate vase body.
Very few tiny surface nicks along a couple of the panels and discolored on the inside, this silver plate flower vase is in very good condition. No dings or dents or silverplate wear or loss on the exterior. This vintage silver plate William Adams / Towle vase measures 7-1/4" tall, 3-1/2" diameter at the top, 3-1/4" diameter at the base, weighs 1 pound, 1.5 ounces and is touchmarked on the bottom with E.P.N.S., India, and W A within a shield.
Electro Plated Nickel Silver, E.P.N.S. is highly polished brass plated with Nickel and then with Silver of varying thickness and then polished again to give a very rich look of silver. The thickness of silver may vary from less than one micron (commercial), to one micron (discerning), to several microns. Electroplating plants are used for this purpose. William Adams is a trademark of Towle from c.1980 often seen on foreign made goods.
