Rare Victorian-era silver plate footed creamer pitcher with ornate aesthetic movement hand-tooled designs together with an ornate spout and ornate openwork handle with a delightful rabbit or bunny amongst a flowering vine- most likely part of a very ornate silver tea set. (c. late 1800s)
This lovely antique silver footed creamer pitcher is in very good condition with very little silverplate wear or loss. No dings or dents noted. Measures 4-1/4" tall to the top of the lip of the creamer, 4-3/4" to the top of the ornate handle, 2-7/8" in diameter, 5-1/4" from the tip of the spout to the outside edge of the ornate handle, weighs 7.3 ounces and is marked on the underside of the base with BELMONT PLATE CO., TRIPLE PLATE and the pattern number "1848". There are no monograms or inscriptions on this Victorian creamer pitcher.
Belmont Silver Co. produced triple plate tabled as Belmont Plate Co.in the late 1800s. They were only in business for a short period of time around the turn of the century.
