Delicate floral footed FOLEY CHINA teacup and saucer set featuring delicate flowers in pink, blue, yellow and purple on a bright white porcelain china base with scalloped edges that are hand-painted with gold trim.
Hand-painted light green trim accents the handle, the inside rim of the teacup and the inner edge of the matching saucer.
The footed teacup measures 3-1/4" in diameter, 4" from lip of cup to outside edge of handle and stands 2-3/4" tall. The matching scalloped and gold-trimmed edge saucer with floral sprays measures 5-1/2" in diameter.
Foley bone china was first produced in 1872 at the Foley Pottery in Fenton, England by Wileman and Company. In 1925 Wileman and Company was reformed as Shelley Potteries. Between 1881 and 1903 the Foley potteries were shared by another company, Robinson and Sons, who also manufactured porcelain branded as Foley bone china but with the trademark "EB".
The backstamp of the Foley China teacup & saucer set dates from the +1930's. No damage to note.
